Food

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in hall every day, as well as four formal halls a week which are delicious 3 course meals for about £5. Breakfast is charged per item (for example a croissant is 60p), and at lunch there is a salad bar and a choice of hot meals. Lunch and dinner both cost about £3. There is always a vegetarian option and Worcester is known for having some of the best college food, especially for formal hall!

Accommodation

At Worcester we're lucky to have three years accommodation provided on-site. In your first year, rooms are randomly allocated and the majority of these have en-suites and kitchen access. In second and third year you ballot with a group of 4 to 6 friends for a shared kitchen. The price of a room varies depending on what facilities it has, so older rooms with shared bathrooms and no kitchens are cheaper whereas newer accommodation with ensuite and kitchen is more expensive.

Extracurricular

Worcester is very keen on its sports, and we are lucky to be the only college with our sports fields located on site. In addition to this, we have our very own Buskins drama society, and each year we put on a Shakespeare play in the College grounds. The common room provides a good alternative social spot to the bar, and there are film nights put on throughout each term, as well as 'Pink Drinks' - a fun evening organised by the entz team once a term.

Welfare

The welfare system at Worcester is brilliant. Firstly we have a male and a female welfare rep, who are always there for support (or to hand out free condoms). They organise Tea at Three every week which provides everyone with free food and company. We also have our great team of peer supporters who are always on hand for people who need advie or just a chat. Above them is the Dean Team, who live on campus, and are available 24 hours a day. Last we have the Dean, who oversees welfare in college.

Entertainment

We have three bops per term, which are epic. Two take place in our very own bar, while the midterm bop usually takes place in a club. The college bar is a great hang-out with a pool table, darts board, and a juke box. Worcester Ball is held every three years and is a very big event. It's white tie and our amazing grounds provide the perfect setting for such a special soirée. As well as formal hall being available up to four times a week, we also have sports dinners, family formals, and charity events going on throughout the year. In addition, we hold 'Worcester in the Park' in the summer term, where Pimms is served and music is performed by members of the college.

The friendliest, prettiest, sportiest and obviously BEST college in Oxford!!! Everyone here is so welcoming: students, tutors and staff
Stuart, Chemistry, 3rd year
Worcester's friendly atmosphere makes it special, and our beautiful gardens and lake mean that there is somewhere to escape in the midst of work and stress.
Lucy, English, student from 2013
It's the perfect size - big enough that you'll find stuff to get involved and people you get on well with, but small enough that it's also really close-knit and friendly. It doesn't hurt that it's also the most beautiful college!
Olivia, Law with Law Studies in Europe, 3rd year
